Mission

To collaborate with the global Chinese churches, offering context-relevant theological education and carrying out research, so that the churches may fulfill the Great Commission in their locality.

與世界華人教會合作，提供切合當地處境的神學教育並進行研究，使教會能在其所在之處完成大使命。

Introduction

In recent years, many Hong Kong people and Chinese have migrated to the countries in the Western world and have joined and established churches there. The Lord has moved CGST to collaborate with global Chinese churches in training disciples and spreading the gospel. Based in Toronto, Canada, we have established CGST Toronto as an office of the institute to provide theological education and conduct research on global Chinese churches. CGST Toronto’s vision is not only to serve Toronto, but also to expand its research and theological education to Canada, the United States, Australia, and the United Kingdom.

近年有不少港人及華人移居海外，並在當地參與及建立教會。上主感動中神與世界華人教會協作，一起訓練門徒，廣傳福音。我們以加拿大多倫多為基地，設立CGST Toronto（中神多倫多）作為學院的辦事處，提供神學教育並進行世界華人教會的研究工作。CGST Toronto 的遠景，不僅是服侍多倫多，更會將研究成果和神學教育擴展至加拿大、美國、澳洲和英國等地。

Vision

Research Centre

The centre will conduct research on the global Chinese churches to assess the current situation and to suggest way forward for ministries and development of churches. Research will focus on congregational and intergenerational studies, and the impacts of secularism and cultural pluralism on the church. The finding of the research will be implemented in churches through publications, training, and academic programs.

本中心將針對世界華人教會進行深入研究，以評估現況，並為教會的事工和發展提出前瞻性的建議。研究將聚焦於教會群體和跨代研究，以及世俗主義和文化多元主義對教會的影響。研究成果將透過出版刊物、培訓和學術課程在教會中實踐應用。

Lay Theological Education (LTE)

LTE will provide theological courses that are relevant to the needs of Chinese Christians in Toronto and the global diaspora in their unique contextualized situations. Most classes will be conducted in person, but a hybrid format may also be adopted. The initial plan is to offer 2 courses per quarter starting in 2026. All courses will be offered in a standard 4-session format and will be non-credit bearing.

信徒神學訓練將為多倫多以及散居各地的華人信徒，提供適切當地處境需要的信徒神學課堂。大部分課堂以實體進行，但亦會以混合模式進行授課。初步計劃由2026年起，每季提供兩科。課堂以四堂為標準，並且不設學分。

Pastoral Support

The Greater Toronto Area has over a hundred Chinese churches, ministering to a large number of believers. Many pastors also serve obliterate and trilingual congregations. Their ministry calls for holistic support — spiritually, theologically, and practically. CGST Toronto is committed to walking alongside the church, offering resources and support to pastors in their service through seminary faculty, experienced pastors, counselors and more.

大多市有過百間華人教會，牧養的信徒眾多，不少牧者更要兼顧兩文三語的群體。教牧的事奉極需要身心靈、神學和實踐上的支援。中神多倫多將與教會同行，透過神學院老師、資深牧者及輔導員等，提供各方面資源，支援牧者服侍教會。

Doctrinal Statement

That the Bible, the Old and New Testaments, is the inspired and infallible Word of God, the necessary and complete revelation of His will for the salvation of men, and it is the final authority for Christian faith and life.
我們相信新舊約聖經是神所默示、無錯謬的話，是神拯救人類的旨意和完全的啟示，是基督徒信仰與生活的最終權威。
In the one true and living God, eternally existing in three distinct persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
我們信賴獨一永活的真神；衪永恆地以父、子、及聖靈三個不同的位格存在。
That the Triune God is the Creator, the sustainer, and the ruler of all creation, but is prior to, and distinct from it.
我們相信三位一體的神是整個宇宙的創造、維持及治理者。
That the first man, Adam, was created by God in His image, but fell from his original state by sinning against God, and hence incurred upon himself and all his posterity the guilt of sin, condemnation, and death; therefore, all mankind are in need of salvation, but are totally incapable of saving themselves.
我們相信亞當由神按衪形像所造，但亞當因為得罪了神，從他原來的情況墮落了；因而招致罪過，定罪與死亡臨到他自己和他所有後裔身上。因此，全人類都需要拯救，但卻完全不能自救。
That after the fall, God in His mercy and love, made provision for man’s redemption through the establishment of the covenant of grace with His people by the promise and the actual giving of the Savior Jesus Christ, whom to believe is justification and life.
我們相信人墮落以後，神本著衪的憐憫與慈愛為人預備了救贖，就是藉著應許及賜下救主耶穌基督，與衪的子民立下恩典之約；凡信靠耶穌基督，就被稱為義，得著生命。
That Jesus Christ is the Son of God, sent by the Father, begotten by the Holy Spirit, and born of the Virgin Mary; that He lived a sinless and obedient life, suffered and died on the cross vicariously for the sins of His people, even those who believe in Him; that God raised Him from the dead, exalted Him both as Lord and Christ, and gave Him the promise of the Holy Spirit for His Church.
我們相信耶穌基督是神的兒子，為父所差，由聖靈感孕，藉童女馬利亞生；主耶穌過了一個無罪及順服的生活，為擔當世人的罪而在十架上受苦受死；神叫衪從死裏復活，將衪升高為主，並且為了衪的教會把所應許的聖靈賜下。
That men are saved by grace through faith in Christ in response to the Gospel preached, or otherwise presented, in the power of the Holy Spirit, through whom ransomed sinners become the sons of God and heirs of eternal life. That Jesus Christ is the only mediator between God and man; through Him and only through Him the believer has access to the Father.
我們相信人得救是本乎恩、藉著信靠基督，這種信乃是對藉聖靈的能力而宣講（或以其他方式表達）的福音所作的回應；人類可以藉著聖靈被贖成為神的兒女，得以承受永生。我們相信耶穌基督是神與人之間唯一的中保；也唯有藉著衪，信徒可以進到父面前。
That every believer is a new creature in Christ and is called to walk in the Spirit, to die unto sin, and to live unto righteousness, and thereby manifest the fruit of the Spirit conforming himself to the image of Christ; that good works are the fruit of the Christian life, and of themse lves are not ways of justification.
我們相信每個信徒都是在基督裏新造的人，被呼召行在聖靈裡，藉此顯明聖靈所結的果子；善行乃基督徒生命所結的果子，善行本身並非得稱為義的方法。
That God alone is the Lord of our conscience, and that the believers are free from the commands of men which are contrary to, or in addition to, the Scriptures in matters of faith and conduct.
我們相信只有神是我們的主，在信仰與行為的事上，信徒不受那些與聖經相違或在聖經以外的人為命令約束。
That the Church consisting of all true believers, being Christ’s own and indwelt by the Holy Spirit, is the body of Christ, the invisible Church; that the Church is holy, universal and one in Christ; that the invisible Church manifests itself in the visible Church, the local congregations consisting of all who profess to believe in Christ and are baptized; that as the people of God and a kingdom of priests, the Church is called to grow unto the stature of the fullness of Christ and to fulfill her missionary task through the exercise of the gifts of the Holy Spirit, in worship, sacraments, fellowship, discipline, and service.
我們相信教會是基督的身體，它是由所有真正的信徒組合而成。他們是屬基督的，又有聖靈住在他們裏面。我們相信教會作為神的子民及祭司的國度，被呼召要長進，直到長成基督之豐滿的身量，並要藉著崇拜，聖禮、團契、紀律、及服事，用聖靈的恩賜完成宣教工作。
In the priesthood of all believers, and parity of the ministers and the laity.
我們相信所有信徒皆有祭司的身分和職事。
That in the last day, as the consummation of redemption, Christ will come again personally and visibly to the earth to judge the living and the death; that there will be a bodily resurrection of the dead, of the believers through the Holy Spirit unto the inheritance of eternal life, and of the unbelievers unto condemnation; and that a new heaven and a new earth will be ushered in.
我們相信到了末日，救贖之工要最後完成：基督會親自再臨到地上審判活人死人；信徒會承受永生，不信者則被定罪，新天新地隨而開始。
