CGST Toronto Social Media Community Guidelines

By engaging with our social media channels, you agree to:

• Be kind – Communicate with courtesy, empathy, and consideration for others.
• Be respectful – When disagreements arise, express differing views in a constructive and respectful manner.
• Be safe – Protect personal privacy, avoid sharing sensitive information, and uphold the safety and dignity of children, young people, and vulnerable adults in all interactions.

Comments must not:

• Breach the terms and conditions of the respective social media platforms.
• Include repetitive comments, spam, or disruptive posting behaviour.
• Contain defamatory, misleading, obscene, or offensive content, including threats, abuse, hate speech, inflammatory remarks, personal attacks or content that promotes violence or sexually explicit content.
• Promote discrimination based on race, sex, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation, or age.
• Be off-topic, irrelevant, or unintelligible.
• Contain advertising, solicitations, or promotion of services or products.
• Promote or encourage illegal activity.
• Violate privacy, confidentiality, or share personal information without consent.

How we moderate our social media community

All comments on CGST Toronto social media platforms are regularly monitored by staff. Comments are reviewed with respect for freedom of expression, while ensuring a safe, respectful, and constructive online environment.

Breach of guidelines

CGST Toronto reserves the right, at its discretion, to determine whether content posted on its social media channels breaches these guidelines. We reserve the right to hide or delete comments, and to restrict or block users who repeatedly or seriously violate these guidelines. Such actions may be taken without prior notice.
